Lori has been a familiar face at North Point Periodontics for over 20 years. She is one of our fantastic treatment plan coordinators and loves to make patients feel at ease when scheduling their treatment. She is an expert at helping patients overcome their concerns with treatment, finances, or just to provide a hug. Lori is very active, enjoying volleyball, hiking, camping, and playing with her grandchildren. Lori and her husband Ed moved to Atlanta from New Bedford MA and are now empty nesters.
Our team of patient care coordinators would not be complete without Nancy, who is always eager to help our patients. Her expertise in dealing with complicated dental insurance plans makes her invaluable to our office. She has been in the dental field since 2000. She moved to Atlanta in 2001 from San Fernando Valley, California. She has three girls, Tiffany, Catherine and Caylee, and two boys, Miquel and Edgar, that keep her busy. Her spare time is spent with her kid’s activities and sports events.
Barbara is the bookkeeper for North Point Periodontics and has been with us since 2003. She has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. She has served as Treasurer for many organizations including PTA and her homeowner’s association. Barbara is married to Paul and lives in the Milton area. They have two children, Phillip and Jordan, and three dogs. Phillip is attending the University of Georgia and Jordan is attending the University of Tennessee. Barbara and her children volunteered in the community with Young Men Service League and National Charity League and she continues to do so. In her spare time, she enjoys playing tennis, reading and spending time with friends.
Jodi has been with North Point Periodontics since 2002 and has been practicing dental hygiene for fifteen years. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Vermont. Go Catamounts! She also completed a Culinary Arts Certificate program in 2008 and enjoys all aspects of cooking, especially baking. Jodi lives in Roswell with her two kids, her dog and her foster dog(s). She enjoys anything outdoorsy, but especially water sports-she was a 2009 Alabama state wakeboarding champ!
Debbie is a part time hygienist who began her career in our office in 2006 as a dental assistant. She went on to dental hygiene school at Georgia Perimeter College, graduating in 2009. Debbie loves being part of North Point Periodontics because of the sense of family she feels with the staff and the patients. An outdoorsy girl, Debbie enjoys camping, hiking, and romping with her dog Roxie. She has even been known to go white water rafting and skydiving! Debbie feels strongly about making patients feel comfortable at their dental visit and will ease any anxiety that is brought to her chair.
Jennifer is an Atlanta native and has practiced dental hygiene over 30 years with the last 17 being at North Point Periodontics. She is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia and has a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. In addition to her clinical duties, Jennifer is our Professional Relations Coordinator for the practice. In this role, she maintains communication between our office and our referring doctors. She coordinates the continuing education programs that we present quarterly in our office Education Center. Jennifer resides in Alpharetta with her husband Paul and their dogs, Della and Burton. They have one son, Duncan, who is currently a student at Georgia State University. Jennifer enjoys going to the lake, boating, and spending time with family and friends. She also volunteers with Tanner’s Totes, a non-profit organization that delivers totes to teens with cancer.
Lynn is one of Dr. Kirkland’s surgical assistants. Lynn is another Michigan transplant and has been in Atlanta since 1996! She has been working in the dental field for 6 years. In addition to wonderful surgical assisting skills, Lynn is responsible for monitoring and ordering our entire dental inventory and maintains communication with our many dental suppliers. She also helps monitor and maintain our dental equipment. She has a daughter, Genesis, and in their spare time they love roller coasters, movies, and listening to music.
Linda has been with North Point Periodontics since 2000 and has over 30 years of experience as a dental hygienist. Even though she has moved to Florida, she still finds time to fill in at North Point Periodontics. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene from Prairie State College in Illinois, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Science from Madonna University in Michigan. She lives in Florida with her husband Marc, a retired dentist. An empty nester now, Linda has more time to pursue scrapbooking, gardening, and spending time with grandchildren.
Karla is a welcome addition to our team at North Point Periodontics. She is invaluable as a dental assistant to both Dr. Kirkland and our hygienists. She is the key to our smooth operation in the clinical side of the office! She is also experienced as a patient care coordinator and you may hear her friendly voice on the phone or have her smiling face greet you in our office. Karla has two children, Sebastian and Sofia. She enjoys spending her time outside of the office with her kids and family.
Lily is one of Dr. Kirkland’s surgical assistants. Lily is originally from Chicago, IL and has lived in Woodstock since 1998. She has been working in the dental field for 6 years. Her calm demeanor and smiling, friendly face puts our surgical patients at ease before, during and after their treatment. She has two children, Joselyn and Manny, and two family dogs, Roscoe and Ozzie. Lily enjoys the outdoors and loves to spend time with her family.
Donna is another member of our outstanding team of treatment plan coordinators! She comes to us with over 4 years of dental knowledge and is excited to now be a part of the North Point Periodontics family! Donna’s expertise in patient care ensures a professional and genuine touch for every patient. She enjoys educating our patients on the importance of saving, replacing and maintaining healthy teeth and gums. Spending time with family, traveling and yoga are some of Donna’s interests. She has also volunteered at the Cumming Nursing Center and mentored at Cumming Elementary school.
